The Pattaya climate like most of Thailand is hot almost all year round. Since Pattaya is located close to the equator it never really gets what you would call cold although the climate in Pattaya does have differing seasons. Due to the excellent climate in Pattaya 12 months of the year, it makes Pattaya an ideal destination for tourists wanting to escape the cold weather in their own country and enjoy the always welcoming Thai hospitality.

There are 3 seasons in Pattaya although for the majority of the time, most people would consider the climate in Pattaya just plain hot. From March to May each year the climate in Pattaya is very hot and mostly sunny every day, this is the summer and festival season in not only Pattaya but in most of Thailand as well. In April each year it is the beginning of the Thai New Year and the middle of the hot Thai summer.

The Pattaya climate from June through to October is still very hot and humid most of the time, including at night but this time is also the Thai rainy season. During these months it can rain almost every day but it usually only rains in Pattaya for short but sometimes very intense spells. It might rain for 20 minutes once per day and be relatively sunny for the rest of the day or it might rain 2-3 times but remain overcast all day but it is usually very humid each day and night during this period.

If there was ever considered a cold period in Pattaya it would be during the months from November to February. Although it doesn’t get cold like in Europe the climate in Pattaya during this time of the year has a significant drop in temperature especially in the mornings but it can still get quite hot during the day. This is the cool season in Pattaya and Thailand is a great place to be during this time of year.

Overall the Pattaya climate is usually hot and quite humid but no matter what the season, the weather in Pattaya is always ideal for the tourist with either a lot of sunshine or a little sunshine almost everyday of the year.
